Winter 5k Series gets underway this weekend
This Sunday will see the return of the highly popular North West Triathlon Club Winter 5k Series.
With a race each month between now and February - the contest is on to see who will take the best female and male awards. The very fast waterfront course will also lend itself to runners achieving their personal bests.
Thomas McCallion , of NWTC, said: "We look forward to welcoming the local running clubs and community running clubs and to establishing a great atmosphere like last year."
Registration takes place at Atlantic Quay, next to the Coffee House, from 9am. Entry is £6 per race and those who complete at least three of the four races will receive a commemorative running vest.
This year the NWTC event includes a kids 3k Challenge Series. Sunday's races begin at 10.30am so get your racing shoes out of the kit bag for an off-season dusting down.
